My interest is in the application of machine learning methods (such as Markov models, support vector machines, neural nets) to biological data analysis. I generally work in collaboration with another scientist on experimental design and data analysis, finding efficient ways of testing hypotheses and ways of leveraging existing data to develop new ones. I am particularly interested in models of transcriptional regulation and pathway reconstruction.
